One of the downsides of having a workplace on the edge of the beautiful Lake District is that all of the action so to speak is down in London.
This typically means that a couple of times per month I'm stuck in a fairly boring hotel in London full of people who don't really want to be there. It seems great at the start but after a while, the novelty wears off.
Anyway, the usual hotel of choice that our office books for me is the Thistle Euston, this is handy as it's just across the mainline station that I would arrive into, however it's not exactually stimulating. A lifesaver before arriving at an unkown hotel is the excellent tripadvisor,
